This website
- Text is real text, not pictures of text, and the pages work without images.
- Every illustration has a written description, and is labelled as an illustration.
- Headings follow a single order on every page, and a skip link jumps past the menu.
- The room request form has a visible label on every field, works with a keyboard, and reports errors in words.
- Colours were chosen for contrast; nothing depends on colour alone.
- There are no pop-ups, no media that starts by itself, and the map loads only on the route page or when you press a button.
If something does not work with your browser, screen reader or settings, write to hello@lakewinnipeggetaway.com with the page and what went wrong. We aim to answer within five business days.
The resort
The resort's own pages do not publish details of accessible rooms, roll-in showers, pool lifts or accessible parking. I am not going to guess. Write your needs on the postcard and the desk will ask the resort before giving you any offer, and will tell you plainly if the answer is no or unclear.
The beaches
Manitoba Parks lists Grand Beach (West Beach) among its mobility-friendly beaches, with mats over the sand and accessible washrooms and parking nearby. The mats are usually installed before the Canada Day weekend, and their availability can change with waves and lake levels, so the province suggests calling the park office for the current position.
