The age rule
Manitoba's Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act says minors must not take part in provincial gaming. Operators must ask for proof of age from anyone who appears to be a minor and must ask minors to leave casino premises. Manitoba's Age of Majority Act sets the age of majority at 18. So: 18 and over, with ID.
Where to get help
Shared Health, Manitoba's provincial health organisation, lists the Manitoba Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-463-1554. It is available 24 hours, and its counsellors give information about problem gambling and referrals to services. The same pages list the Manitoba Addictions Helpline at 1-855-662-6605, the 988 suicide crisis line by call or text, and the Hope for Wellness Helpline for Indigenous people across Canada at 1-855-242-3310.
Signs worth taking seriously
- Spending more time or money than you planned, again and again.
- Trying to win back losses.
- Borrowing, or hiding how much you spend.
- Gambling to escape worry, low mood or boredom.
- Arguments at home about gambling.
If two or three of these sound familiar, a call to the helpline costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
What this site does
We describe the casino in neutral facts on one page, because it is part of the building. We do not promote gambling, do not describe games or offers, do not link to promotions, and do not earn anything from gaming. Our only commercial interest is room bookings, explained on how bookings pay us.
If you are planning a trip for someone who is trying to stay away from gambling, the hotel shares a building with the casino. A cottage or a campsite at Grand Beach may be the kinder choice.
