Eight rooms on the Executive floor

Luxury King: eight rooms on the Executive floor

There are only eight of these. Same footprint as the standard rooms, but on the floor the resort calls Executive, and with the small extras the suites get.

Why I would pick it

  1. For the desk

If you are here for a meeting in the ballroom or the Cedar Room, the Luxury King has the same multi-function desk and free internet as the rest of the hotel, plus quieter company on the Executive floor, if the name means anything. I cannot confirm that it does.

  2. For the morning

The Keurig and the bottled water mean you do not need to go down for a coffee before a drive. Small, but it is the main practical difference from the Deluxe King.

  3. For the price

The starting rate I saw was $195, five dollars above the Deluxe rooms. Starting rates are not your rate. The desk will compare the two for your dates.

What the page leaves out

The resort's description of the Luxury King does not list a hairdryer or an iron, which the Deluxe rooms do mention. It also says nothing about the view. I would not read anything into either; I would simply ask. Write "Luxury King, please confirm iron and view" in your postcard and the desk will pass it on.

Eight rooms is a small number. On a concert night or a summer Saturday they may be the first to go, so if you want one, send the request early rather than the week before.
